Scrappy Applique Starter Workshop: Your Gateway to Creative Freedom
3-hour workshop $650
Perfect for beginners or anyone new to the Scrappy Applique technique. Participants get to choose their Scrappy Applique pattern, learn the technique step-by-step, and explore basic finishing options. Most leave with a completed quilt top. Everyone leaves with the confidence and the skills to complete their project at home!
Workshop participants purchase the Scrappy Applique pattern of their choice to make during the workshop ($8 – $12 each).
Scrappy Applique Success Workshop: From Start to Finish
6-hour workshop $1150
The complete Scrappy Applique experience! Students choose their Scrappy Applique pattern, learn the collage technique, and explore multiple finishing options useful for any kind of raw-edge applique. Most participants complete a quilt top in class. Perfect for all skill levels with options for beginners through advanced.

Yes! I love teaching live and in-person. I’m a social person and love getting to spend time with fellow quilters!
Yes! Virtual events are such a gift! We’re no longer limited by distance or travel costs. My set up includes professional lighting, front-facing camera and overhead camera so attendees can see all the details.
Travel, lodging and meal expenses are required for in-person teaching events.
Travel: I’m happy to drive up to 9 hours from Columbia, SC (standard IRS mileage rates apply). The closest airport to me is the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE).
Lodging: For overnight lodging, I’m happy with hotel accommodations or staying with a guild member (smoke-free home).
Meals: Please plan to cover the cost of meals during travel and the during event (as needed) either by including me in a lunch order or via reimbursement.
Workshop attendees with need a Scrappy Appliqué pattern of their choice, fusible web, lightweight interfacing, fabric and thread for the 3-hour workshop. The 6-hour workshop also requires iron-on, tear-away stabilizer.
I will have patterns and an optional kit available for purchase at in-person events. If members want to purchase patterns ahead of time, I ask that they use my affiliate link.
No. Scrappy Applique events may not be recorded.
